Our Story

East Born Bags was born on December 7th, 2020, in a pub called The Cricketers in Brighton, England. Following the reopening of pubs, Sharon lamented the loss of her cherished bag, which had been a loyal companion for over 15 years. Inspired by her story, Steve proposed creating a bespoke bag for her birthday, which quickly evolved into a larger vision: to craft high-quality travel bags ourselves.

In our Eastbourne flat, we transformed Sharon's old bag into a prototype, combining features and hand-stitching it from repurposed materials. With the help of skilled artisans in the Philippines, we refined our design and produced our first batch of bags. The response was overwhelmingly positive, confirming our belief in the need for stylish, secure travel accessories.
